City's shipyard
The earliest evidence of the shipyard, or Ottoman shipyards, dates back to 1591. Photographs from 1890-1920 immortalize a small shipyard with a dock and warehouses, located at the end of the Panagia neighborhood.

Old City Panagia
Since the 7th century BC the district of Panagia is the original historical core of the city of Kavala. The city was founded on this rocky peninsula, which with its three names Neapolis, Christoupolis and Kavala came along the centuries of the history. For 2,500 years the city has been developing only within the boundaries of its ancient and Byzantine walls. It was only at the beginning of the 16th century that it expanded outside the walls and included a piece of land next to the sea and the harbor

Agios Nikolaos District
The Agios Nikolaos quarter is dominated by the church of Agios Nikolaos, which during the Ottoman Empire was the Islamic mosque of Ibrahim Pasha, built in 1530 by Ibrahim Pasha, viziers of Suleiman II. Every corner of the Agios Nikolaos neighborhood hides little surprises.

Municipal Garden
Municipal Garden began to take shape between 1922 and 1924. Today, a new memorial to the fallen has been constructed, designed by Dionysios Gerolymatos, along with another statue, that of the winged Nike, designed by Ioannis Parmakelis, which were inaugurated in July 1970.
